We have an opportunity for a passionate and driven HR Operations Advisor to provide an excellent end-to-end HR administration and reporting service to the HR department, wider business and external third parties, ensuring service level agreement (SLA’s) are met.
You will act as the first point of contact for all transactional HR enquiries using our Service Desk ticketing system and Workday our HR & Payroll System, providing timely and accurate support, escalating more complex queries to relevant team members to action.
Assist with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all HR processes that support the HR team and the wider business with consistency and standards.
Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to employees and line managers, promoting best HR practice on all employee relations activity; escalating where appropriate to the relevant HR Business Partner. Support the HR Business Partnering team with essential administrative assistance, contributing to a positive and efficient HR service experience.
Support the HR Systems Manager with the ongoing development of Workday modules, and the Payroll & Reward Manager with administrative tasks relating to pay and benefits.
This role is home-based but you will be required to attend one of our Nottingham offices once a week, plus travel to other sites on occasion.
Key role responsibilities will include:
* Support the end to end process of employee administration through Workday and liaising with line managers to ensure accurate and timely information is received and processed
* Data input / integrity of data Workday – ensure new starter, salary, promotion, leaver, change to T&Cs are accurately recorded/checked
* Absence management – support line managers where appropriate
* Support the Workday end to end recruitment and onboarding processes, including eligibility checks, induction, paperwork, references etc to ensure a smooth onboarding for new employees
* Support the Workday learning administration process and update training requirements as necessary
* Support the streamlining of procedures, adopting greater use of technology and digital resources to improve service delivery and customer experience
* Maintain HR Policies and Procedures and ensure updated protocols are followed
* First point of contact for all employee relations related queries received through the Service Desk, providing guidance, resolving issues promptly and effectively, and escalating to the HR Business Partnering team where necessary
* Support with the administration and maintenance of employee relations documentation, including invite and outcome letters, and other related records. Ensure all documentation is handled confidentially and in compliance with employment law and Company policies
* Ensure internal SLAs are met within the Service Desk and HR & Payroll System, updating and closing ticket responses with accurate information to demonstrate clear action audit trails
* Provide advice and coaching to employees and line managers on the use of the self-service and manager functions within Workday
* Assist with the administration of the annual pay review cycles and bonus scheme
We are looking for you to already be working in an HR administration/advisory role with some understanding of employment legislation, and experience of ER casework and collation of data for payroll purposes.
You will be approachable, professional, and possess strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with HR software.
You will be comfortable working to multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to interpret and manipulate data with an eye for detail, and have excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
