This will be achieved by working collaboratively with the Football Club’s EDI Lead and key partners providing a high standard of advice, guidance and support. The Role: The role of EDI Officer with the Trust presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team. You will be the focal point for Trust EDI advice and guidance as well as arranging, supporting and attending events to promote our EDI work and to develop ever closer relationships with all the communities we serve. You will play a key role in embedding EDI as a core value across all our work and all of our people. You will collect and analyse data from our workforce survey and use this to provide evidence of the effectiveness of our EDI strategic objectives and action plans. You will also coordinate our EDI Champions Group and work closely with the EDI Lead from Watford FC to ensure our policies, procedures and approach are aligned. The Job involves but isn’t limited to: Provide Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) support and advice to colleagues across the Trust. Lead on the delivery of the Trusts EDI Action Plan, assisting project leads on completing equality reviews. Lead on the EDI section of the PLCF and EFL Capability Code of Practice (CCOP), support the Club on the Premier League Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Standard (PLEDIS. Develop an annual EDI calendar for campaigns and learning and development opportunities document with the Club EDI Lead for all staff. Provide EDI awareness and refresher training for all staff, volunteers and beneficiaries. Create an annual achievement report for all EDI campaigns, project delivery, learning and development and events. Coordinate the Trust EDI Champions group, attend the Club EDI internal working group and any other external stakeholder groups. To oversee the discrimination reporting process for the Trust in collaboration with the Club, to ensure all issues are dealt with effectively. To analyse trends and increases in discrimination reports and escalate to Senior Leadership team as appropriate. Attend local, regional, and national training and professional development events to keep ahead of EDI issues and requirements. In Addition You will develop community partnerships, use data and impact evaluation to inform our EDI strategy and raise awareness of our work, support delivery of events and activities, identify potential funding opportunities and manage the EDI budget. You must have: Previous experience of working in a role which has clear EDI aspects or responsibilities Up-to-date knowledge of EDI concepts and best practice. Understanding the barriers facing those with a range of protected characteristics by championing EDI in the workplace. Knowledge of EDI legislation, policy, and practice, including but not limited to the Equality Act 2010, and the organisation’s responsibilities within this. Experience and success in building partnerships and working collaboratively with a range of organisations and community groups. Proven success of leading on projects/events. You ideally would have: Experience in report writing for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinating budgets and being innovative in how the budget is used.
