We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Leader to join our team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering small projects and work packages of low to moderate complexity. You’ll make sure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget while adhering to our PPM policies and standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and partners to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with both organisational and customer objectives.
This is a hybrid role that will require frequent travel to either Salisbury or Portsmouth.
What you'll be doing:
1. Managing project risks, assumptions, and dependencies to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with customer policies and strategies.
2. Maintaining project controls for time, cost, scope, and quality, ensuring effective decision-making and change management.
3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and supporting engagement plans.
4. Managing resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and materials, to ensure project success.
5. Identifying and mitigating potential risks while maintaining flexibility to adapt to unforeseen challenges.
6. Monitoring project performance against KPIs and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
1. Strong IT literacy with solid understanding of MS Office and SharePoint.
2. Experience managing IT infrastructure or application projects of low to medium value (£5k - £50k).
3. Ability to write and review technical and commercial documentation.
4. Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and risks.
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a customer-focused approach.
6. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently under pressure.
It would be great if you had:
1. Experience using ServiceNow.
2. A working knowledge of IT systems and technologies, enabling discussions about IT-based solutions.
