Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join theteam. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial products and services, with the ability to assist financial advisers in providing high-quality advice and preparing comprehensive financial plans for clients. You will work closely with advisers, clients, and other team members to ensure the smooth delivery of advice, ensuring all recommendations and documents are thoroughly researched and compliant. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Client Reports: Assist financial advisers in preparing detailed reports, including research, recommendations, and relevant documentation, for client meetings. Research & Analysis: Conduct research into financial products, services, and strategies to support the advice process, ensuring suitability and compliance with regulatory standards. Client Meetings: Attend client meetings where necessary, take meeting notes, and assist with the implementation of financial planning strategies. Documentation: Ensure all client files and documentation are up to date and comply with company policies and financial regulations. Financial Planning Systems: Utilize financial planning software to create, monitor, and review financial plans for clients. Compliance: Ensure all activities and recommendations are fully compliant with industry regulations and internal policies, including adhering to the FCA rules and guidelines. Continuous Development: Keep up to date with regulatory changes, industry developments, and financial products to provide accurate and current information to clients and advisers Qualifications & Skills: Education: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or progress toward completion) is essential. Additional qualifications such as CF8, R06, or equivalent are desirable. Experience: A minimum of [2-3 years] experience in a paraplanning or financial planning support role within a regulated environment. Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial products, pensions, investments, tax planning, and regulatory requirements. Technical Skills: Proficient in using financial planning software (e.g., Intelligent Office, Voyant, XPLAN) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with platform systems and financial reporting tools is a plus. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely. Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing financial reports, client records, and documents.
