As the Asda Magazine & Editorial Content Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for co-ordination and support across Asda Magazine Editorial and Content activity. This includes working to the magazine critical path, with internal and external stakeholders across the business to manage the product, sample, shoot and price sign off process. You will also take the lead in proofing and copyediting the magazine and providing creative feedback on cover artwork, recipes and content.
You’ll support with digital content planning and creation as per the team scope. This may include but isn’t limited to preparing article briefs and proofing/editing all recipe content for social.
The Asda Magazine & Editorial Content Co-ordinator also takes responsibility for allocating the magazine to Asda stores and briefing external agencies on the print, production and merchandising of the Asda Magazine shippers.
Responsibilities
* Project management of individual magazine issues
* Content planning across print, digital and social as required
* Proofing and copyediting the magazine, ensuring Asda’s tone of voice is adopted throughout & managing the sign off process of the magazine
* Co-ordinating Mag team creative feedback on cover artwork, recipes and content for social
* Allocating the magazine to Asda stores and briefing external agencies on the print, production and merchandising of the Asda Magazine shippers, support with the distribution process
* Office administration including but not limited to booking team meetings, fulfilling agency email requests, ordering samples for photography shoots, and merchandising the magazine in Asda House
* Managing the magazine sign off process including engagement with key stakeholders- customer leadership, legal, nutrition and category
* Support with finance and budget, including management of the print, production and shipper costs and booking & raising PO’s in SAP
* Comprehensive administrative support including set up and maintenance of trackers and decks as required
* Management of the Asda Magazine Editor’s Inbox
* Set up and maintenance of competitor reviews & content reports per issue/ season
* Regular integration and collaboration with wider Asda channels, such as CRM & Organic Social to drive content optimisation across our ecosystem
* Providing creative feedback on PPMs and photography assets, and providing editorial feedback on page layouts, copy and pagination flow
* Offering support across digital, social and general project planning
* Store comms ahead of magazine live date
Qualifications
* Creative eye and a creative qualification or experience in creative industries
* Passionate about editorial and foodie content
* Excellent organisational skills
* Ability to manage critical paths and deadlines
* Collaborative team player
* Confident in communicating to all levels of stakeholders
* Experience of working with agencies
* Willingness to learn, adapt and be flexible to change and working in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail
