FPGA Emulation Engineer (Staff) I am partnered with a global semicon giant in Cambridge and Manchester (UK), who are rapidly growing their FPGA team, in a multidisciplinary team who are building hardware platforms which are used for software development and IP validation activities both internally and externally by partners/customers. Please note: This is an onsite position in the UK with a choice of either Cambridge or Manchester locations (2 days per week onsite minimum) Relocation from within Europe can be supported Visa sponsorship from outside Europe is not possible Project Details: Develop FPGA implementations for internal and third-party platforms to showcase new IP products. Commission FPGA prototyping hardware, including specifying peripheral hardware. Work with development teams to understand requirements, guide design decisions, and offer alternatives when necessary. Mentor junior engineers. Requirements: In-depth knowledge of the FPGA design flow, including RTL design, simulation, synthesis, place & route, constraints, and timing closure. Strong RTL skills in Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL. Expertise in debugging complex designs in simulation and hardware. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to create clear documentation.
