Job Description
The role of a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer has become available in our Medical Device Company in Livingston, which is part of a global group leading in the optical and optoelectronics industries.
We are a well-established manufacturer of sterile injectables used in various medical procedures and have contributed to global healthcare for over 25 years.
Following a period of expansion, we are positioning ourselves for further growth and require a talented individual to join our existing Engineering team.
This vacancy offers the opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to contribute to our Quality team as a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Develop quality metrics and produce quality plans for existing products and processes.
* Analyse data and trends in performance and variation of the product, process, non-conformance reports and corrective and preventative actions using appropriate analysis methods.
* Lead quality improvement and continuous improvement projects in partnership with Manufacturing and Engineering.
* Facilitate risk management activities including FMEAs.
* Create and review technical documents such as standard operating procedures and work instructions.
* Ensure integrity of process quality and source inspections.
* Provide coaching and guidance on quality topics to the Production and Engineering teams.
* Participate in internal audits conducting process, product, and workplace audits.
Requirements
* Experience in the Medical Device, Pharma, Biotech or a heavily regulated industry.
* Excellent analysis of data and reporting skills including graphical and statistical methods.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Proficiency in the use of quality tools and techniques.
* Able to write and review technical documents.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and independently earning the trust of stakeholders.
