We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Project and SME Engineer to join the amazing team at our Linford Block Plant, which is located close to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. This role is commutable from Barking, Dagenham, East Ham, Rainham, Plaistow, Woolwich, Abbey Wood, Greenwich, Belvedere, Poplar, Stratford, Forest Gate, Greenwich, Deptford, Welling, Sidcup, Erith, Bexley, Bexley Heath, Dartford, Hornchurch, South Ockenden or the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
As our Electrical Project and SME Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
* Lead and own the 1 year rolling, and 3 - 5 year improvement plan for the assets.
* Implement Written Schemes of Examination, assess equipment condition and suitability for further service.
* Recommend repairs and advise the Engineering and Projects Manager on the restoration of “fit for purpose” condition.
* Own and lead the implementation of a Risk Based Assessment programme for electrical systems equipment.
* Provide electrical systems technical input in support of projects and plant modifications.
* Ensure management of change practices are followed for all modifications, upgrades or project work.
* Power system fault detection and diagnoses methods using both online and offline methods.
* Conduct routine maintenance and updates to systems along with collaborating with production and engineering teams.
* Have a proven track record of successful engineering operations, delivering CAPEX projects.
* Promote the maintenance management system, ensuring the application of maintenance procedures, methods and best practices.
* Assist the Engineering department in achieving its budget targets.
* Develop and improve the knowledge and skills of engineers, fitters and apprentices.
* Involvement with maintaining Health and Safety rules and regulations.
* Continuous review of plant availability and performance.
* Evaluate and improve the preventive maintenance job plans.
* Contribute to the analysis of failures and problems, implementing corrective actions.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have experience working with electrical systems, Siemens S5 & S7, Allen Bradley, Profinet and associated plant ideally with manufacturing, maintenance and operation experience.
Qualifications / Requirements / Capabilities:
* BEng or MEng in a related discipline, or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
* ESSENTIAL - 18th Edition.
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment combined with heavy industrial plant experience.
* Technical experience of preventive, predictive and systematic maintenance.
