The Junior Brand Manager will be based in Andover and report to our Senior Brand Manager. A key member of the newly established Middle East team, the Junior Brand Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams for International Markets, our Saudi & UAE Distributors, customers and agencies to deliver ATL and BTL projects in line with brand strategy. This role does require occasional travel to Saudi Arabia and UAE. Key Responsibilities Project management of innovation and renovation projects in line with the long-term strategy, in strong collaboration with the cross-category team for best-in-class execution Identify appropriate new and existing product development opportunities, deploying appropriate research techniques and to considering both market specific needs as alongside assessing suitability of global new product development initiatives Initiate and manage all NPD through the gate process Develop copy and sign off artwork as appropriate, ensuring full compliance for products and marketing communication with local regulatory frameworks Lead the understanding of the competitive environment, developing implications for Twinings and providing the appropriate input into the local brand strategies and the commercial plans Maintain an understanding of the touch points in the market, their trends and effectiveness and their relevance for Twinings Source and develop the relationships with marketing and research agencies both in the UK and in the market Track delivery of the marketing plan against agreed milestones and all relevant consumer / shopper / trade KPI's in all aspects of the marketing mix Oversee the creative process locally and develop all appropriate materials in delivery of the marketing plan to include key visuals, point of sale material, along with any additional touch point needs as agreed in the marketing plan Sign off final artwork and marketing materials for the region, ensuring consideration given to stakeholder feedback Support the local team through marketing presentations to both the distributor and trade as necessary Work alongside the Senior Brand Manager to Track performance of the media plan Investigate and source appropriate agencies and suppliers in support of marketing plan development and execution Develop appropriate agency briefs, liaising with key stakeholders as appropriate Ensure supplier set up and approval processes are carried out in line with Twinings policies and procedures and all suppliers are ethically audited and maintain log of status Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in FMCG marketing, brand management, or a related role with strong understanding of marketing principles and brand management concepts and a keen curiosity to explore and understand different cultures around the world. Experience in Innovation projects from end-to-end (from idea to launch), with understanding of processes involving multiple functions and external partners. Experience & ability to understand consumer insights, spot consumer needs, trends and market dynamics and generate answers for them. Understand the why behind the what. Proficient in market research and data analysis. Experience with running research with external partners. Experience with using market data and generating insights & actions from analysis. Consumer research awareness including Nielsen (or equivalent), panel data, ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative surveys, U&A Social media experience with running campaigns. Experience in communication plans and ability to project manage a communications plan from creative to media execution and to handle creative and media agencies. Good understanding of commercials, P&L and the retail landscape International experience in a similar role or working in the Middle East would be advantageous.
