HOURS: Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30
Job Role:
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking 3 Teaching Assistants to join our partner pupil referral unit, working with learners with challenging behaviour. Offering 1-1, 2-1 and small group support.
Working within a pupil referral unit, you will be required to work with learners from KS1 – KS4. You will support them within a classroom setting and assist with outside school trips.
You will work alongside the Teacher and help plan and provide classroom work. While your main duties are within the unit, there will be an expectation that you accompany learners to their mainstream school to assist with their transition back into a mainstream setting, which is the primary goal for learners in the unit.
This role is very rewarding but will also present varied challenges, requiring a resilient Behaviour Support Mentor to provide the correct support and work to improve behaviour.
Requirements:
* Hold GCSEs as a minimum
* Have a full and clean driving license
* Have previous experience working with Behaviour/ADHD/ASD
* Be able to commit to a full-time role, offering consistency to learners
* DBS Enhanced – assistance provided
* EWC – assistance provided
* A comprehensive understanding of safeguarding – training provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
