What is the purpose of the trainee technician?
* Learn to process casting, weldments and wrought products and eventually after training sentence parts.
* Operate Dye Penetrant Line in accordance with techniques under supervision and eventually after training independently process and sentence parts.
* Visual inspection of parts.
* Work on one’s own initiative and resolve any issues or problems to company-specific procedures.
* To ensure safe working to comply with EHS standards.
* Assist in preparation for Customer visits, Regulatory Audits and prompt follow-up of resulting actions.
* Adopting and deploying EATON LEAN systems using the prescribed ELSS tools.
* Attend relevant reviews and meetings.
* Ensure quality levels are maintained to company standards.
* Assist in reductions of Process control variations within processes.
* Assist in Cost reduction initiatives.
What skills and qualifications will the trainee technician have?
* Training will be provided on all aspects of the role.
* Knowledge of NDT processes advantageous.
* Knowledge of inspection processes advantageous.
* Knowledge of special processes preferred.
* Experience of working in a similarly physically demanding environment.
* Proven attention to detail.
* Demonstrable ability/experience of working to procedures.
* Demonstrated logical thinking.
Hours of work:
* Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:45pm, Friday 08:00 to 12pm.
