Wireless Broadband Installation Engineers
Job Description:
Installing Wireless Broadband to Customers' Homes.
Regional Work – Across Devon & Somerset and Possibly Cornwall.
£34,000-£36,000 + Van & Equipment + Fuel Card.
My client is a network systems integration company operating across Telecoms, IT, and Energy Sectors. They are now looking for experienced DBS cleared Wireless Broadband Installation Engineers on a permanent basis to cover home installations to customers' properties across Devon and Somerset and possibly Cornwall.
Responsibilities:
1. Install Fibre and Wireless services/radio masts from the main network to the customer's premises, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety standards.
2. Set up and configure routers, modems, and other networking hardware & software to provide seamless full fibre and wireless connectivity.
3. Perform thorough testing services to confirm functionality and signal strength.
4. Deliver all installations in a professional manner.
5. Always maintain a high level of health and safety awareness.
6. Maintain own stock levels & vehicle cleanliness.
7. Complete fibre and wireless install surveys using IT equipment provided such as laptop, phone, and tablets.
8. Use of Fibre Cloud, Weezie, and third-party network architecture software to provide detailed install plans, along with CAT 5/CAT 6 cabling.
9. Submission of defected infrastructure using provided software/apps.
10. Use of business systems including PIA, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, PeopleHR, Health & Safety Apps, SICON.
11. Use of a wide range of hand and power tools to aid in the installation of customer fibre and wireless services.
12. Use of a hoist to survey or install when needed.
13. Out of Hours (OOH) on-call work may be required on a rota basis.
14. Liaising with third parties including landowners, utilities, build contractors, landlords, and customers.
Mandatory Certificates / Licences:
1. Driving Licence.
2. Recent DBS Check (3-6 months).
3. Static & Mobile Boom 1B & 3B (IPAF).
4. CSS Worksafe (Safe working at Height).
5. First Aid at work.
6. Asbestos Awareness.
7. Manual Handling.
8. Street Works (Unit 2 01 SLG).
9. A8 or SA001 O / H safety.
10. A9 or SA002 U / G safety.
11. S7 or N007 Sub duct and cable installation.
12. S8 or E001 Overhead cable installation.
13. S9 Pole stepping on congested poles.
14. OPS Card.
