We are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join a wonderful team in the beautiful market town of Burton-Upon-Trent, located in the heart of East Staffordshire. Nestled between the vibrant cities of Derby and Nottingham, Burton offers an array of high-street fashion and household shops, a vibrant nightlife, exceptional dining options, and an array of attractions.

Their dedicated team takes pride in providing the highest standard of care for pets and their owners. They offer a supportive, low-stress environment with all the necessary resources and facilities, including a surgical theatre, prep room, digital X-ray, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, Ultrasonography (inc. Doppler), Endoscopy, ECG, comprehensive in-house laboratory (microscopy, haematology, biochemistry), and Idexx Catalyst for fast in-house results.
In addition to their experienced veterinary staff, their practice has certificate holders in orthopaedic procedures such as TTA and TPLO, and others specialising in exotics, ECC, imaging, medicine, and Ophthalmology. They also have a visiting cardiologist who uses Echocardiography/ECG for case work-ups.
This role will involve some sole charge work, so our client is looking for a confident and skilled Vet with a passion for surgery and medicine. The successful candidate will have excellent general surgical and medical skills and will be a team player who values collaboration and continuous learning.
The Rota:
• Full time role - 4 day week between 9am and 6.30pm
• Saturday rota (9am - 12.30pm)
• No OOH
• Part time applications will be accepted
