We have an exciting opportunity to join North Star Academy Trust following recent growth and are seeking to recruit a reliable, enthusiastic and efficient Site assistant to be responsible for maintaining the school estate.
Working under the direction of the Estates Manager and Senior Site assistant, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the smooth running of our school, with responsibility for ensuring the school estates are well maintained, safe and fit for purpose at all times.
Duties will include:• Act as a main keyholder and be responsible for the opening/ closing
• Carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance tasks
• Portering duties
• Completing compliance tasks, e.g. fire, legionella, meter readings, emergency lighting, etc.
• Carrying out maintenance work such as painting & decorating, basic plumbing and carpentry work.
• Supervising and monitoring of contractors, ensuring safe systems of work are in place.
• Following and promoting a strong Health and Safety culture

Actual salary £13,352 - £14,043 per annum. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum (pro rata for part-time), to be arranged by prior agreement, plus bank holidays.
