Job title: Logistics & Inventory Management Lead Location: Barrow-In-Furness (On-site) Salary: £45,628 What you’ll be doing: Leading the operational delivery of a Logistics team across a section of our Barrow, ensuring that subordinates have purpose and clarity and are empowered to meet key delivery targets within an acceptable timescale and within budget. Support delivery of the product by working with Customers within area of responsibility, ensuring right product, right place, right time Provide support and assistance in the development of key strategies, policies and procedures that will enhance product quality and customer satisfaction (internally and externally). Actively promote cross functional working to achieve best working practices across the business. Embed “best practice” logistics processes related to receipting, storage, maintenance and internal dispatch activity Managing and controlling inventory, obsolescent and slow moving materials, ensuring functional compliance with all internal and/or external regulatory requirements Your skills and experiences: Essential: A high level of relevant Inventory and Customer Facing experience gained within a fast moving business environment Leadership experience of medium sized teams, delivering on time within budget and quality requirements Desirable: Experience of leading and developing teams across multiple locations Knowledge of best practice standards within a Logistics environment Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Logistics Management Team: The LIM Lead will be part of the logistics management team reporting into the Senior Supply Chain Manager – Logistics. They will have 50 Logistics personnel working in their area comprising of 5 Team Leaders and 50 staff & Logistics Operatives.
