Band 5 Physiotherapist
Based at: St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead.

The serviceoperatesMonday to Friday between 08:00-17:00; there is some flexibility in the hours you work depending on service need.No on-callduties.
We have an exciting Band 5 opportunity within our Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC), providing frailty and rehabilitation services to the residentsof East Berkshire,mainly workingacross 2 sites in Maidenhead and Slough and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative candidate.
The post willlargely involvemanaging a clinical caseload of elderly rehabilitation referrals,mainly aroundfrailty and falls, seeing patients within the clinic setting and occasionally in their own home.
There will be some exposure to Neurological patients. This post will work closely with the wider integrated Care services such as Community Physiotherapy and Intermediate care.
We offer excellent in-service training,one to oneclinical development and regular peer support to all our qualified staff and there are opportunities to support staff with external courses whereappropriate. Every member of staff also receives a comprehensive yearly appraisal toassistin their development.Funding for external courses is available, as well as the opportunity to attend in-house courses
• Tobe responsible forthe assessment,treatmentand caseload management for patients, undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working without direct supervision asrequired.
• A good working knowledge of how the different community, primary and secondary care services, Local Authorities, and voluntary services work together is a bonus.
• To provide a high standard of physiotherapy for adults living within East of Berkshire.
• To communicate effectively,complexand sensitive information, with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential by having extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and rationale for treatment and the ability to explain this to the patient in ways they can understand.
• To be an active member of the physiotherapy service development and training initiatives by the presentation and attendance at staff meetings, tutorials, training sessions, external courses and through reflective practice and sharing ideas for service improvements.

The “must haves” for this role:
1. Qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration
1. Previousphysiotherapy experience
1. Some clinical reasoning and knowledge in the rehabilitation of older adults.
1. Fantastic interpersonal skills
