IT TEAM
Business Systems, an integral part of IT, is a newly created capability at Silverstone whose mission is to drive the digital transformation of Silverstone over the next decade. Working closely with our business partners, we aim to provide state-of-the-art solutions encompassing cloud & edge computing, 5G networks, generative AI, social media, digital trust and cybersecurity, digital twins & data, and sustainability, always with the customer at the core of our thinking.
JOB PURPOSE
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing complex technology solutions to support our business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, sales, marketing, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and translate them into effective, scalable, and secure IT systems and architectures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Experience of providing consultancy to the business, designing, and monitoring complex architectures and delivering architectural solutions to solve business requirements and concerns. Develop, coach and bring teams together through collaborative working.
2. Experience of end-to-end solution architecture delivering eCommerce, CRM, and digital applications.
3. Ideally, project-based experience with any of the following: eCommerce, loyalty, booking & reservations, and CRM.
4. 2+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect within hospitality, events, retail (or similar e.g. media, travel).
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing, stakeholder management.
6. Strong hands-on implementation skills in contemporary technologies and methodologies (Cloud, Integrations / APIs), comfortable working at the detailed level in complex technical environments.
7. Modelling processes, systems, data, and infrastructure in UML, Archimate, and/or other modelling tools.
8. Systems architecture creation techniques, wide range of available technologies.
9. Self-motivation to drive through a programme that reconciles and meets complex and competing demands.
10. Experience working to agile methodologies.
11. Experience of working within a multi-channel hospitality/retail environment.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Establish good working relationships with IT Team.
2. Establish good working relationships with all members of the wider Business.
3. Have meaningful discussions with the rest of the Business Systems Team to support them and receive support for your role.
4. Develop any relationship needed with 3rd party suppliers in order to make the most of your interaction with the Business Systems and Service Desk.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance will be monitored against the following:
