As part of our team, you will be employed by St Margaret of Scotland Hospice while holding an Honorary contract with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The Medical Director will provide governance, leadership, and specialist palliative care input across all clinical services at the Hospice. You will be included in all discussions related to the continued delivery, development, and enhancement of specialist palliative care for the local community, and the wider palliative / end of life network locally and across the Scottish healthcare system. Applicants for the Medical Director role must demonstrate exceptional leadership and change management skills, ensuring the delivery of high standards of individualised care, compassion, and bereavement support. As the senior medical lead, the Medical Director will also provide professional guidance to the Trustees and Chief Executive regarding the quality of medical services and professional standards within the Hospice.

Our team of approximately 130 staff provides holistic clinical care and pastoral support to both in-patients and individuals in the community. Our facilities include:
* Two wards with single-occupancy, ensuite rooms
* An outpatient clinic, Day Hospice, and Community Palliative Care service
* A 24-hour telephone advice service for patients, relatives and health care professionals
