An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the wide-ranging and forward thinking West of Scotland Cancer Network to act as the first point of contact, and to support the Network in driving improvements in the delivery of cancer care across the region. This post is pivotal within the West of Scotland Cancer Network, based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, providing comprehensive administrative and project support to regional workstreams and the Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) for Cancer. Duties will span organisation of education events; providing secretariat for regional meetings and following up actions; compiling reports; maintaining databases; and updating our website. As well as general day-to-day office running and administration support. This postholder will work closely with Network Managers and Clinical Leads and a key skill will be the ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner with a variety of colleagues, both clinical and non-clinical. Applicants should have administration or project support experience, and an understanding of medical terminology and jargon would be beneficial. Managing multiple tasks and switching quickly from one project to another is key to support the needs of the team. The role will function within a flexible hybrid (home/office based) working model designed to meet the needs of the Network.
