About the Role:
This role is specifically working for Cult Beauty which is part of the wider Beauty Division, reporting into the Financial Controller. The role is split into 2 key areas:
1. Financial control and ownership of the month-end processes within the Beauty division.
2. Commercial reporting and analysis; driving and challenging all aspects of the P&L, delivering key profit and working capital initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Full ownership of the P&L, requiring a proactive approach to performance, acting quickly on both risks and opportunities.
* Weekly P&L forecasting, including variance analysis and identifying ideas to improve profitability.
* Working closely with key stakeholders to understand trade performance and marketing activity, along with modelling various scenarios to aid trade decision making.
* Presentation of weekly forecast to the Cult Beauty senior leadership team.
* Business partnering with commercial teams to understand areas of profit improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
* Month-end reporting and balance sheet ownership, including maintaining accurate schedules and exercising a pro-active approach to drive billing for marketing activity and rebates.
* Continuous improvement of processes, ensuring a strong financial control environment is maintained.
Requirements:
* Experience within an Assistant Financial Controller or Management Accountant role.
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or close to completion.
* Experience within the Beauty industry is desirable.
* A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of both senior and non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience using Sage, Anaplan and SQL is preferred.
* Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
