Dependent on experience We're looking for our next leader to head up our people analytics function. This great opportunity brings with it core ownership of establishing and implementing our data strategy, encompassing our operational model, data architecture, and governance. You'll be overseeing the day-to-day operational delivery of people data, analytics, and insights to fulfill customer needs, providing this wide stakeholder group with both management information and integrated insights products, empowering them to make more informed, timely, and customer-focused commercial decisions. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Working with the People Chief Operating Officer, AXA UK and Ireland (UK&I), to design and drive forward the Data and Insights strategy and ambition, including the strategic transformation of legacy data and reporting to our new TOM. Accountable for the execution of this strategy, including the prioritisation and delivery of all related products and services, the development of supporting process, skills, technology and governance through 3 managed capabilities, HR Data and Technology, HR Reporting and HR Insights. HR Data and Technology Principle advocate of HR Data Management principles and good practice, influencing HR teams and the business towards better data management practices. Owner of HR’s ethical data protection framework, ensuring team practice stays within agreed guardrails. Accountable for the HR analytics technology roadmap, ensuring it'll deliver on current and future requirements. HR Reporting Accountable for HR’s reporting capability, covering the production of simple ad hoc reporting through to advance dashboarding MI products. HR Insights Accountable for HR’s insights capability, notably the use of advanced statistics technology to solve high value business questions and the injection of embedded insights into the customer process points where critical decisions are required. Additional responsibilities: Accountable for ongoing alignment and mapping AXA customer persona groups to their requirements and contracting with them on the delivery of products and support that fulfill those needs. Build and maintain active relationships with these groups, including raising overall CoE visibility. Lead stakeholder management for the CoE, including influencing and delivering to senior leaders in HR and the business, maintaining key relationships. Guide and inspire a team of 6, with 2 direct reports, including developing team capability to improve strategy execution. Lead the wider HR Insights Community (including embedded HR reporting and insights roles outside of the CoE that sit in the UK&I Business Units). What you’ll bring: Very strong stakeholder and customer management skills, resulting in an intense customer focus and commitment to ensuring the reputation of the team. Strong consultation, commerciality and business partnering skills. Effective communication of analytics solutions or concepts in simple and engaging ways, regardless of a customer’s seniority or experience. Very strong communication and presentation skills – spoken, written and visualisation. Ability to translate between technical data & reporting team and the business managers. Effective prioritisation and planning skills – maintaining team focus on delivery essentials in the face of competing priorities and high demand. Very strong personal motivation and change orientation focus, able to deal with a changing and flexible landscape. Data management capability with an understanding of HR analytics technology landscape. Line management and product/service management skills. Experience of running a successful HR Reporting and Analytics team (or similarly numerate business function) for 5 years. Technical SME on analytics techniques and tools. Knowledge and passion to understand emerging analytics trends, concepts and technologies e.g. Big Data.
