Registered Nurse - NICU Neonatal Transitional Care

Sherwood Forest Hospitals have an exciting Band 5 opportunity for enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurses or Midwives to join the Neonatal Transitional Care Team (NTC).
We have a 12 bedded local neonatal unit that cares for a range of infants from special care to intensive care, our team is dedicated to providing highly quality, and evidence base care. We have 6 Transitional Care Cots on the midwifery ward for infants who meet the BAPM 2017 criteria for NTC.
The aim of this service is to deliver care at the mothers bedside, preventing separation where possible. Working collaboratively with the midwifery team and the neonatal team, we can ensure care is delivered for both mother and baby in the appropriate location.
We are looking for experienced registered nurses (adult or children) and/or midwives who are able to work flexibly over a 24-hour period, eager to develop their skills, expertise and keen to join a friendly, enthusiastic and supportive nursing team.

Contractual Requirements
* To work within a 24 hour rota, night duty and weekends
Knowledge Requirements
* Knowledge of neonatal issues
* Awareness of BAPM Guidelines and the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network
Qualifications-Academic/ Craft/ Professional
* 1st level registered nurse, or RN child/ RSCN or Registered midwife
Further Training
* Safeguarding children
* Clinical supervision
* Undertake preceptor programme following induction
* Willing to undertake Neonatal qualification in Speciality
* Qualified in Speciality
Experience
* Previous experience of children's/ Neonatal services
* Experience of audit and research
