Your new companyWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of building services within a government facility. This role requires a proactive approach to both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. Your new role
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building services.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns.
* Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with other maintenance engineers and contractors to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to the Facilities Manager.
* Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency maintenance support.
What you'll need to succeed
1. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a government or large commercial building.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
