Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Year 6 SEN Teacher to join a welcoming team and provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning needs as they prepare for their next stage of education. This role begins April 2025.
Duties as a Year 6 SEN Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils
* Provide targeted support to help students develop confidence, independence, and key skills
* Use a range of teaching strategies to support students with a variety of learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language needs
* Assess and monitor student progress, implementing personalised learning plans where necessary
* Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
Ideal Year 6 SEN Teacher:
* A degree in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related subject
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
* Experience working with SEN pupils, preferably in a primary school setting
* Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support pupils with additional needs
* Strong classroom management, patience, and excellent communication skills as a Year 6 SEN Teacher.
