Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Digital Communications Manager to join our marketing team at Birmingham Bank, a rapidly growing savings bank and mortgage lender. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing, particularly in creating automated email systems, social media management, and analysing marketing effectiveness. You’ll look after website updates, brand collateral development, and digital marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities:
1. Communications: Managing and delivering the regular communications to mortgage brokers and savers (consumers).
2. Social Media Management: Plan, schedule, and publish content across multiple social media platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.
3. Social Listening & Monitoring: Track and analyse social media conversations and review sites (e.g. Feefo) to gain insights, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
4. Automated Email Campaigns: Design, implement, and manage automated email systems to engage with current and potential clients, ensuring timely, relevant communication.
5. HubSpot Expertise (Advantageous): Utilise HubSpot for CRM management, email campaigns, and marketing automation to enhance customer engagement and lead generation efforts.
6. Asset Creation: Creating graphics, videos, and written content for all B2B and B2C channels and internal communications using platforms such as Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Suite.
7. Reporting & Analysis: Measure and report on the performance of digital campaigns, social media engagement, and email systems to assess ROI and optimise strategies.
8. Content Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to develop digital content that aligns with overall marketing goals and grow customer engagement.
9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, design, and operations teams to ensure messaging consistency and support business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within the financial services industry.
2. Creative mindset with a passion for powerful marketing that changes hearts and minds.
3. Problem solver with a can-do attitude – start-up mentality!
4. Proven expertise in creating and managing automated email campaigns and workflows.
5. Deep understanding of CRM and communications structures and their impact on the customer/intermediary experience.
6. Experience with social media scheduling tools and brand analysis tools (e.g., Sprout, Brand 24) and reporting tools.
7. Confidence creating paid and organic traffic drivers.
8. Strong ability to monitor and analyse social media conversations and trends.
9. Understanding of the risks associated with financial promotions.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Proficiency in reporting and presenting marketing effectiveness using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
12. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
13. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
1. Experience using HubSpot for CRM, marketing automation, and analytics.
2. Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
3. Familiarity with the mortgage or financial services industry.
