Your Role:
As Channel Manager, you will be responsible for setting the direction and executing the partner strategy. You will use your expertise in channel management, strategy execution, and operations to grow the business through strong partnerships. The role requires a deep understanding of B2B markets, particularly in the technology and telecommunications sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner Recruitment: Identify and recruit the ideal channel partners who will drive profitable growth.
* Channel Strategy: Build and develop a channel partner network that enhances revenue through effective recruitment and partner growth strategies.
* Channel Proposition: Develop and communicate compelling business propositions to attract and retain channel partners.
* Channel Structure: Optimize the channel structure to ensure full market penetration and explore new commercial verticals through innovative technologies like LTE and 5G.
* Channel Development: Onboard and manage key channel partners to expand market reach and drive revenue.
* Partner Relationship Management: Foster strong, productive relationships with partners by providing the necessary tools, training, and support for mutual success.
* Sales Enablement: Design and implement sales programs, incentives, and marketing initiatives to maximize partner performance.
* Performance Monitoring: Track partner sales performance and align strategies with company objectives to drive improvement.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams—sales, marketing, and product development—to create and execute go-to-market strategies.
* Contract Negotiation: Manage partner agreements, pricing structures, and incentive programs to ensure beneficial, long-term relationships.
* Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to continuously enhance strategies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for initiatives.
Your Day to Day:
This role plays a key part in extending our presence in business-critical markets. You’ll support public safety-oriented partners and work across various industries globally to meet customer needs with cutting-edge solutions like TETRA, LTE, and 5G.
There’s no typical day, as this dynamic role requires you to:
* Manage partner recruitment, compliance, and performance tracking.
* Identify new markets and verticals, and recruit partners to access them.
* Build and refine partner propositions, channel structures, and incentive programs.
* Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to support lead generation and partner enablement.
* Expand the team as the channel grows to scale operations.
This role will involve international travel (approximately 30% of your time, with more travel during the initial recruitment phase).
What You Need to Succeed:
* Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Business or Telecommunications).
* Experience and Skills:
* 10+ years of experience in channel management.
* Deep understanding of channel sales models and partner ecosystems.
* Proven experience in mid-to-large size (preferably international) B2B businesses, with a focus on technology and telecommunications.
* Experience with partner recruitment, value proposition development, enablement, and marketing.
* A proactive, "hunter" mentality to engage with partner executives and demonstrate business value.
* Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally to develop business and marketing strategies.
* Demonstrated success in metrics-driven performance management.
* Leadership experience—both directly and through influence.
* Ability to establish executive-level relationships with key partners.
* A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience with B2B mobile computing devices and/or Land Mobile Radio.
* Understanding of mission-critical telecommunications is a plus.
