We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 8a Child Psychotherapy posts, in Dudley CAMHS. We are looking for an ACP registered, qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to lead and develop the delivery of psychoanalytic psychotherapy treatment in CAMHS. The work will include using your psychoanalytic skills within the core service and the under 5's service.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individuals with a keenness and ability to integrate their current skills and apply them in this context. Important qualities are good communication skills, working co-operatively and thinking creatively.
About us
CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, specialist nurses, family therapists, child and art psychotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and psychiatrists, who are passionate in their aim to work with children, young people and their families in developing creative solutions to improve their mental health difficulties. BCHFT CAMHS currently operates across four geographical areas (Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall) with contracts in each area. Each of the teams have a specialist learning disability team, dedicated to children and young people with a moderate to severe learning disability and specialist Children and Young People in Care Teams.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
Essential
1. oQualification in Child Psychotherapy at an ACP recognised training school.
2. oMembership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) and evidence of continuous professional development as required by the ACP.
3. oSubstantial post qualification experience as a practising child psychotherapist within CAMHS.
4. oPost-qualification CPD

5. oEvidence of completing a supervision course
6. oFurther qualification in specialised area of psychotherapy or related field.

7. oExtensive clinical experience as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with a wide range of clients, across the full range of clinical severity and across the whole life course.
8. oExtensive experience of psychotherapeutically informed work with parents and carers.
Knowledge
Essential
9. oHighly developed knowledge of theory and technique in psychotherapy with looked after and adopted children.
10. oA thorough understanding of the Green Paper Every Child Matters, the National Framework for Children, Future in Mind and other relevant policies
