Applications are invited to join a dynamic and supportive team of Community Paediatricians for a full time or job share permanent post. The post holder will carry out general community paediatric work and a special interest will be welcomed and supported. You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a License to Practice.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in all aspects of community paediatrics, suited to their experience and competencies and the priorities of service provision. The post holder will undertake assessment and management of children with neurodevelopmental concerns and safeguarding presentations. They will participate in the child protection rota (no out of hours commitment). Posts holder will work across Lambeth and Southwark as part of the Evelina Community Paediatric team.

Person Specification
Professional Qualifications
* Eligible for full UK GMC/GDC registration and a Licence to Practise.
* MRCPCH or Equivalent qualification / evidence of equivalent experience.
Clinical Experience
* Proven record of completion of at least 4 years postgraduate training, at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme in paediatrics and 6 months in community paediatrics.
* Previous paediatric experience at registrar level.
Clinical Skills
* Experience in developmental paediatrics, including autism with training in using developmental assessment tools.
* Clinical Experience in the field of safeguarding, including carrying out child protection medical examinations.
* Excellent communication skills written and verbal, with families, young people and professionals.
Service Development & Quality Improvement Experience
* Evidence of contribution to effective clinical audit and service development activities.
* QI or audit training.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
