As the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being. You will work closely with the residents, their families, and the care team to understand the needs and preferences of each individual and create a fulfilling and enriching environment.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will plan and organize monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arrange events and outings, and maintain a safe and positive living environment for the residents. You will have effective communication skills, a positive attitude towards older people, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality activities and social experiences.
Job responsibilities
Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and to understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfillment for all residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
* Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
* Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

* Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
