Job Summary
As a Project Engineer - Mechanical, you'll play a key role in the mechanical aspects of our projects, collaborating with our project team to ensure successful delivery. This involves managing all phases of project design and implementation, from tender preparation and design work to coordination with subcontractors and on-site troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers and site staff to optimize project workflows and profitability.
Complete mechanical design and specification for each project.
Develop equipment specifications and schedules and define project requirements.
Establish testing standards, oversee field tests, and monitor quality.
Utilize design drawings and manuals to support project completion.
Conduct site surveys, prepare proposals, and manage end-to-end project delivery.
Oversee budgets, schedules, and documentation, including compliance with OH&S and environmental standards.
Use personal protective equipment and adhere to safety policies.
Additional Duties:
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and work instructions.
Support health and safety practices and uphold quality objectives.
Perform other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in the UK water sector.
Strong balance of office and practical field experience.
Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency with CAD (preferred) and computer literacy.
In-depth knowledge of CDM and health and safety regulations.
Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude.
Clean driving license and CSCS card preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 (based on experience and training)
Benefits: Company pension, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
