Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Good honours degree in Psychology
2. Appropriate Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology
3. Eligibility for Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society
4. Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
Desirable criteria
1. Training in I.T packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Job specific experience
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrable post qualification experience
2. Previous experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults with a wide range of Physical and Mental health problems, of varying severity and complexity
3. Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of emotive and distressing problems and verbal and physical abuse
4. Experience of multi-disciplinary working
5. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills enabling change in clients where there may be resistance to change
6. Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS
Managerial- supervisory experience
Essential criteria
1. Experience of teaching, training and/or professional and clinical supervision with a multi-agency setting
