Job summary Theatre Equipment Coordinator Band 4 - 37.5 hours per week We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, dynamic individual to be a part of a new innovative role within the Theatre Department, working alongside a Multidisciplinary Team including the Theatre Team, Procurement, MESD and external agencies to deliver a cohesive approach to equipment management. Main duties of the job o To provide prosthesis and instrument housekeeping for Theatres, particularly to Trauma, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oncoplastics, Ears Nose and Throat and Maxillofacial and Theatres. o Overseeing Theatres stock and Implant room, responsible for all Theatre Medical Devises, Maintenance and Repairs. o Developing competitive equipment, instrumentation and stock inventories o To provide general support to Theatre Team Leaders in Trauma, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Oncoplastics, Ears Nose and Throat and Maxillofacial in any other duties pertaining to implants and equipment stocks management. o To provide support to Procurement team in coordinating the implant service across all specialities within Theatres. o To liaise between suppliers and clinical teams to ensure the patient pathway is not affected by stock availability and loan kit requests. o To liaise with procurement materials management and clinical team for any equipment requirements and to ensure that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved. o Conform to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Health & Safety in line with the Trust Policies and Procedures. o To be collaboratively linked to procurement and MESD personnel to meet the needs of the service. o This role will work independently, although under the supervision of Theatre Management Team and Equipment Lead.
