This role supports and lead the Group Capability planning cycle. Partners with the Capability Practice of Expertise, the Capability Market/Functional Partners and the Capability Leadership Team to ensure we have a defined Group Capability plan that spans a 3 year horizon. Supports the deployment of complex and strategic Capability programmes to ensure the Capability team is set up to deliver with pace and agility.
You will be responsible for
* Managing the Capability planning cycle including how Capability contribute to the broader People plan processes and cycle, ensuring Capability have a design and deployment plan (within year) and a roadmap for a rolling 3 year period.
* Facilitating the building of the plan, the ongoing maintenance of the 3 year roadmap and all progress tracking, through well organised and timely meetings.
* Co-ordinating engagement of key stakeholders on the plan and be clear on the process for stakeholder sign off, ensuring the team are set up to deliver a relevant and fit for purpose plan.
* Owning a quarterly planning meeting for the Capability team, facilitate longer term and strategic planning building capability in planning for longer horizons.
* Maintaining and developing excellent facilitation and organisation skills to enable an effective meeting culture, including agendas, minutes, next steps, progress tracking.
* Liaising with Tesco Business Solutions Learning Services team to manage and track delivery of key Capability projects and acceptance of new work onto the plan.
* Reporting at Capability governance on the delivery of the plan, including key risks and issues on strategic priorities.
* Supporting the design teams to deliver high profile projects, providing expertise in project management to drive effective and efficient project delivery, removing obstacles with the support of the Capability Leadership Team.
* Driving the maturity of the Capability operating model through key background processes and way of working, including facilitating the development of POE ways of working across Group, Tesco Business Solutions and Market teams, and owning, creating and maintaining key tools and templates to facilitate efficiency, efficacy and consistency.
* Effective planning for all of our enabling partners including Learning Delivery Managers in each market, Market plans, the Managed Learning Service provider
* Partnering the Capability Partner (Functions and Markets), Capability Design Lead, Leading Learning Delivery Managers to ensure there is a complete annual Learning deployment plan by Market/Function with budget.
* Owning the core capability meetings and agendas, bringing the right people together to ensure successful delivery of priorities.
* Managing Capabilities\' corporate reporting initiatives and PLC comms opportunities (PLC website etc).
* Maintaining your professional development, be a thought leader in your area of expertise and strive for continuous improvement across the Capability catalogue and learner experience
