Job purpose:
We have an exciting opportunity for a multi-disciplinary nurse to join our incredible nursing team! We have recently launched a monthly RVN CPD calendar, providing protected in-house CPD for our RVN team to develop and learn. This role offers a fantastic learning opportunity for an RVN seeking to expand their skills or for someone with established referral experience looking to utilize their knowledge in a supportive environment.
As part of the multi-disciplinary nursing team, you will rotate through various departments, gaining broad experience while being supported by discipline-specific teams. Our hospital accepts referrals in Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, and Physiotherapy.
We seek nurses aligned with our values, prioritizing patient wellbeing in all decisions. Your daily duties will include:
* Assisting with patient admissions, examinations, IV catheter placements, and blood sampling.
* Following practice policies and SOPs related to tasks and departments.
* Monitoring general anaesthetics and sedations during rotations.
* Monitoring patients in recovery post-sedation or anaesthesia.
* Assisting with surgical and medical procedures.
* Providing high-quality in-patient care.
* Supporting the patient care assistance team.
* Calculating, preparing, and administering prescribed medications.
* Performing blood samples and parameter measurements.
* Ensuring proper feeding and hygiene standards.
* Maintaining professional nursing standards and accurate records.
* Ensuring equipment is clean and well-maintained.

This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours/week, either 8-hour days or 10-hour days). Weekends are on a 1:4 rota, working either Saturday or Sunday. Referral experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
