Commercial Assistant (Scheduler) Cardiff Bus is looking for the next member of our small and focused Commercial Team to support us with planning our schedules. What you will do Create effective and robust bus workings Scheduling efficient driver duties and rotas Coordinating with external stakeholders to understand short term variations Analysing operational performance to propose improvements Coordinating the communication of changes & variations Produce documentation to satisfy registration requirements To undertake ad-hoc project work for the Commercial Manager What you need You must be computer literate with experience in using common programmes such as Microsoft Office, have a reasonable level of mathematical ability and communication skills. Experience in the bus industry, or a similar role elsewhere, is desirable but not essential. A flexible approach is key, with the need to adapt quickly to meet tight deadlines. In turn, we will offer training in the scheduling and planning processes as well as any industry specific computer systems required. Following a successful probationary period further professional development may be available.
