Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
You will be supporting a group of people who live in their own independent flats in the same building on Union Street, Aberdeen. The people we support live very independently with different levels of support required. They enjoy volunteering, having activities within the community, travelling, seeing different cities and towns, and going to different events like football, wrestling, and craft clubs. It is important that the people we support live as independently as possible with the support of our staff. They like their staff to encourage them to be active and remind them of the importance of making their own choices and to support them in what they like to do. We provide paid training to help you succeed in your role, so all staff are trained on epilepsy awareness, trauma-informed care, medication administration, personal care, and adult support and protection. We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so staff must be flexible to work some weekends. Our typical shift patterns are:
1. 8.30am - 4.30pm
2. 9am - 9pm
3. 1pm - 7pm
4. 10am - 7pm
5. 10am - 5/6pm (weekends only)
6. Sleepover
We are currently recruiting for Bank Workers posts. One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31 March 2025 your pay will be £12.50 and then from the 1st April 2025, this will increase to £13.01.
Your values:
The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun! We like people who are reliable and honest, so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart. It’s important that you are reliable and honest and can communicate well with everyone.
