Job Title: Insights Manager
Location: Birmingham/Midlands
Salary: £55,000pa plus excellent benefits
We are working with a new analytics division within a large catering company. They are looking for insights analysts to join their growing team and have a huge impact on how the business operates. The successful candidate will work from one of their Midlands sites (Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester or Northampton) venues and have occsaional meetings in London.
The successful insights analyst will play a critical role in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and support decision-making processes within the organization. It would suit someone that has been working as a consultant and is therefore able to deliver data, feedback and ideas to senior stakeholders. The primary responsibilities include:
1. Data collection, review and analysis
2. Market, demographic and economic analysis
3. Historical venue performance analysis
4. Competitor and comparator venue review and assessment
5. Stakeholder and third-party interviews (in person/phone) to develop understanding
6. Develop an understanding of the venue, its layout, challenges and opportunities
7. Developing data-driven insight and solutions
8. Financial analysis and development of financial models
9. Report writing and presentation preparation
10. Industry trends and benchmarking data management
Qualifications and skills:
11. At least 2 years consulting experience, preferably in a client facing role
12. Highly numerate
13. Experience with Excel and Power BI
14. Experienced in story telling using data, including to non-technical stakeholders
15. Ability to write clearly and concisely
16. Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop own stakeholder relationships, comfortable presenting to client executives
17. Self-starter, ability to work alone at times
18. A collaborative and curious attitude
19. A strong work ethic with a willingness to support clients and colleagues
20. Comfortable with deadlines and working with changing priorities
21. University degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
