Work alongside trainers who are Autistic and/ or have learning disabilities to reach the hearts and minds of healthcare staff across Kent and Medway with life-changing training. We are looking for skilled and values-driven people to co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism to professionals in health and social care and enable colleagues who are Autistic and/or have learning disabilities to thrive and make an impact as trainers. Main aim: Co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism to professionals in health and social care. Enable colleagues who are Autistic and/or have learning disabilities to thrive and make an impact as trainers. Hours: 22.5 hours per week with additional hours to cover colleague absence, which may be needed at short notice. We have two part-time positions available: Position A: Working Mondays and Fridays Position B: Working Tuesdays and Thursdays Both roles require flexibility to cover additional hours when a colleague is absent. This may be needed at short notice but will remain within reasonable limits. Start Date: Week commencing 26th May 2025. Location: We have local opportunities throughout Kent and Medway. The role involves frequent travel to different training venues. We aim to make these as local as possible to trainers, but may need to travel at times to locations across Kent and Medway to cover colleague absence or attend staff training. Salary and benefits: NHS Band 5 - Band 6 (£28,408 - £42,617 per annum pro rata) generous 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays Contributory Pension Scheme (5% of pay) This is an essential and fulfilling role within an inclusive and progressive organisation, which is the leading partner for the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training and Leadership Development of Autistic and Learning Disabled Experts by Experience for Kent and Medway. A new partnership comprising Aucademy, bemix, Canterbury Christchurch University, and the Kent Autistic Trust has been commissioned by the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) to implement the training in Kent and Medway.
