Main duties of the job
In this dual-role position, you will work alongside a supportive team, guided by our Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing. You will be responsible for:
* Providing high-quality, initial assessments and care for acutely ill patients.
* Coordinating patient transfers to appropriate wards, managing discharges, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.
* Supporting emergency day cases and ongoing treatment plans in Ambulatory Care.
* Acting as the nurse in charge, leading the team and ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Managing a small team, including staff development, managing attendance, and facilitating appraisals.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Skills
* 2 years' experience within specialty/acute care area.
* ILS trained.
* Evidence of leadership qualities.
* Mentorship module/Preceptor training.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Post registration qualification relevant to clinical specialty.
* Leadership course.
Qualities
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
