About the Role

We’re recruiting for multiple roles, and a DBS check will be required.
Join our local charity as an Energy Advisor, supporting individuals and families in managing energy bills, maximizing income, and reducing fuel poverty. This is a great opportunity to specialise in a vital area of advice while contributing to carbon emission reduction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive energy advice via phone, in person, and at community events, helping clients manage energy use and reduce costs.
2. Conduct benefit checks and debt assessments to help clients increase income and manage finances.
3. Thoroughly explore clients’ situations and refer them to relevant services for further assistance.
4. Offer advice on energy-saving measures like insulation and connect clients to available savings programs.
5. Deliver advice at community events, raising awareness of energy-saving options.
Key Skills and Requirements
1. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
2. Proficient in using digital tools for advice and casework.
3. Stay updated on energy advice developments and pursue continuous training.
4. Explain complex information simply, helping clients make confident decisions.
5. Comfortable working toward goals and achieving positive outcomes.
