Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Support the Director of Performance and Informatics in the development of an effective Trust Performance Management Framework, taking into account national, regional and local requirements and patient and public experience of service.
* Ensure there is robust performance monitoring of all national, regional and local standards and targets and Key Performance Indicators. To ensure appropriate performance information is readily available for managing the Trust's agenda and reporting performance to key forums including the Trust Board, Board sub-committees and review meetings with Groups.
* The post holder will use their skills, influence and expertise to promote a culture of performance improvement across the organisation.
* Act as a delegated authority for the review and initial sign off of national returns and performance data prior to Director sign-off.
* Co-ordinate the performance and reporting functions of the Trust, ensuring that all internal and external customers' requirements are satisfied.
* Take overall responsibility for staff development, performance and disciplinary issues for the staff in the Performance and Informatics portfolio.
* Provide expert advice on the Trust performance and informatics matters to the rest of the Performance and Informatics department.
* Liaise with the internal and external auditors to ensure that all procedures are working effectively and that audit points are completed and actioned in a timely way.
* Will be required to make decisions within their own interpretation and understanding of national policies and professional standard.
