Our client, a premier company in the defence sector, is searching for a skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join their team on a contractual basis. Based in Great Baddow, this 6-month opportunity offers hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing, developing, and testing power electronic systems and components for defence applications
2. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
3. Conducting performance evaluations and troubleshooting issues in power electronics
4. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate power systems into larger projects
5. Documenting design processes, test results, and maintenance procedures
6. Providing technical support and training to other team members
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in electronics, particularly in the field of power electronics
2. Understanding of electronic design principles and industry regulations
3. Proficiency in using electronic design automation (EDA) tools
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
