Join our team as a Waste and Recycling Contract Monitoring Officer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Waste and Public Realm Service Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring the Waste Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract, assisting in performance analysis, contract monitoring, and ensuring the council meets its statutory obligations as a waste collection and disposal authority.
In this role, you will assist in managing and monitoring the Waste PPP contract to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations. You will support the evaluation of contract performance, including health and safety monitoring, and aid in the management of waste infrastructure projects and associated capital programs. Your contributions will be vital in preparing and delivering performance and risk reports to Senior Managers and Committees.
Additionally, you will help identify, develop, and manage projects that generate income from council assets, attract investment, and reduce budgetary pressures. You will support the monitoring and evaluation of waste, recycling, and minimisation campaigns to ensure continuous improvement and progress towards national targets. Collaboration with the Waste and Recycling Management team will be essential to support overall service delivery. Accurate and timely reporting of waste data flow to relevant stakeholders will also be a key part of your responsibilities.
