Infrastructure Engineer (AWS, Terraform, Python)

Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong AWS (incl. Route 53 DNS, EKS), Terraform and Python skills to support daily operations and troubleshooting related to infrastructure in the Cloud and on premise.
The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability of networking components like VPCs, CloudWAN, DNS and inter-region peering.
You'll take ownership of availability, performance, and growth of the Cloud Infrastructure, and consult with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions.
You'll serve as a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure implementation, performing design reviews and ensuring implementation best practices.
You'll build out monitoring tools and scripts to ensure your area is performing well and meets agreed service levels.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for Engineers proficient in Python for developing scripts and automation tools related to network and DNS management. We also seek Engineers with Terraform experience for automating AWS infrastructure provisioning, as well as YAML for configuration management.
Your AWS Networking & Systems Expertise should include:
1. In-depth knowledge of AWS Networking services such as VPCs, Transit Gateways, CloudWAN, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, and security groups.
2. Experience managing and troubleshooting AWS Route 53 DNS, especially for critical production services.
3. Familiarity with T0 services and best practices for maintaining high availability and fault tolerance in AWS infrastructure.
4. Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS for managing Kubernetes clusters in AWS.
5. Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker.
6. Experience building, managing, and deploying containerized applications across multiple environments.
7. Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment of networking and automation changes.
8. Knowledge of version control tools like Git for managing infrastructure code.
9. It could be beneficial to have knowledge of other AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, and CloudFormation, which might overlap with networking or DNS tasks.
