Demand Planner / Merchandiser - Ecommerce & Dropship Focus
Our client, an award-winning business that designs and delivers well-known branded textiles, bedding, home and lifestyle products across the UK, Europe, and the US.
Are you a data-driven merchandiser or demand planner with solid supplier-side experience and a deep understanding of ecommerce and dropship retail?
We're looking for someone who knows how to manage large retailer accounts, especially within dropship models (think Amazon Marketplace, Very, Studio, ASDA, etc.) and understands how to align supply with demand in a dynamic online retail environment.
What You'll Do:
1. Manage dropship and marketplace retailer operations with accuracy and confidence.
2. Own the end-to-end demand planning process - from forecasting through to order delivery.
3. Work closely with sales, product, and logistics teams to ensure inventory aligns with seasonal and promotional activities.
4. Analyse product performance and sales data to inform stock decisions and reduce both overstock and stockouts.
5. Input and manage monthly sales forecasts and customer stock reports.
6. Place purchase orders with suppliers and proactively manage the critical path through to delivery.
7. Troubleshoot production or shipping delays with suppliers to maintain on-time delivery targets.
8. Use tools like Excel and Business Central ERP to maintain accurate data and reporting.
What You'll Need:
1. Strong experience in a supplier-facing merchandising or demand planning role.
2. Deep understanding of ecommerce platforms, dropship logistics, and major online retailers (Amazon Marketplace experience is a huge plus).
3. Confidence managing critical paths, placing POs, and navigating delays with suppliers.
4. Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
5. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with business systems (Business Central or similar).
Why You'll Love It:
1. Fantastic hours and flexible hybrid working - office-based Mon-Wed, remote Thurs-Fri with a 3 pm finish on a Friday and the hours of 10-3 Monday to Wednesday in the office and the remainder at home!
2. Supportive, collaborative culture that values creativity and innovation.
3. Work with globally recognised brands in a growing, design-led business.
4. 22 days holiday plus bank holidays plus additional days in between Christmas and new year.
5. Life assurance.
6. Wellbeing health plan.
7. Cycle to work scheme.
