What will your role be as a Maintenance Engineer?
1. Carry out maintenance tasks and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including bespoke machinery.
2. Work to set schedules for maintenance work orders, ensuring regular maintenance of parts reduces failure and prevents large scale issues or stoppages.
3. Build and develop new maintenance schedules, working alongside technicians and production operatives to ensure productive workflows.
4. Reporting all failures to Engineering Manager; including causes, concerns and actions in reports.
5. Fill in tickets for completion of all work.
6. Manufacture parts using machines – lathes, mills, grinders and more.
7. Read and interpret technical drawings when necessary.
8. Assist with installations of new tools/machines when required.
9. Provide general maintenance within the site.
What makes a perfect Maintenance Engineer?
1. We require experience working with electrical components, or electronics in some capacity.
2. Mechanical Engineering experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
3. A fundamental understanding of industrial electrical circuits.
4. Fully competent working independently, or within a team.
5. Exposure to working with machines such as lathes and mills.
6. Previous experience working to extremely low tolerances is advantageous.
7. A rudimentary understanding of electronic engineering would be viewed highly.
8. Full UK driving license.
9. Other relevant exposure could include Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, service engineering or anything at a relevant qualification.
This role is easily commutable; accessible in under 30 minutes from Cirencester, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Chippenham.
