Job title: Welder\n\nLocation: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun – Based on site and must be able to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow.\n\nSalary: £37,318.00 (additional shift allowance of 33% may be applicable) \n\nRequirements: Trade Papers to be provided when submitting application\n\nWhat you’ll be doing: \n\nWelding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminium)\n\nWelding using different welding processes i.e., Manual Metal Arc, Metal Active Gas, Metal Inert Gas, Automatic & Semi-Automatic Machine Welding (Submerged – Arc & KAT) & Resistance Welding (Stud Welding)\n\nWelding butts and fillets to a high standard\n\nMain process – FCAW / MAG – using ceramic tiles\n\nSelf-verification on all welds\n\nAdhering to all SHE related standards associated with welding, including fume control\n\nYour skills and experiences: \n\nModern Apprenticeship certificate also known as Trade Papers (you will be required to provide papers)\n\nCeramic Tile Welding Knowledge \n\nKnowledge and experience in Welding and use of associated equipment\n\nFlux core arc welding experience \n\nDeposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations\n\nMaterials experience of welding carbon steel thickness 4-10mm range\n\nClear understanding of SHE and Risk Assessment awareness\n\nBackground in major construction / manufacturing environment\n\nWelding with MCAW consumables\n\nWelding aluminium with MIG process\n\nWelding with automated equipment\n\nPlease ensure you have attached a copy of your qualifications when submitting your application. \n\nBenefits:\n\nAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.\n\nThe Welder team: \n\nIn the Welder team, we’re doing work that impacts the world.
