Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent National Employability Tutor, working for a client on a National Basis. Candidates must hold a Full UK License and own transport.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for safeguarding candidates whilst on programme
* Establish and maintain a safe environment for all staff and candidates
* Deliver training and assessment on a variety of short course qualifications up to Level 2
* Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed
* Be able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to candidates at all levels
* Support learners in achieving their goals
* Embed wider topics: safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and British values
* Embed maths, English and ICT
* Demonstrate practical applications of vocational programmes
* Adapt/develop appropriate learning materials
* Record and provide feedback to learners continually on their programme
* Complete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress in their place of learning
* Share best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment
* Participate in standardisation meetings
* Prepare, maintain and monitor the training/workplace environment to meet Health and Safety standards
* Comply with all required administration duties
* Be flexible in supporting the required needs of the business

Knowledge/Experience:
* Hold a full teaching qualification
* An understanding of Safeguarding and Prevent
* Experience of delivering L2 Lean organisation management, Facilities, Cleaning, Employability and Environmental is ideal
* Working towards or hold the A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualification
* Experience of training in an educational or workplace environment
* Relevant industrial experience (warehouse/manufacturing/cleaning)
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the challenges and demands of the role
* Understanding of compliance paperwork and reviews
* Demonstrate behaviour consistent with educational values
* Commitment to continuous professional development
Additional Information:
The successful candidate would be subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role is classroom-based Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for learners; however, candidates will be expected to work outside of these hours for marking, travel, etc.
Working away from home is essential and could involve three out of four weeks staying in a hotel from Sunday to Friday, depending on the training location.
Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile, hotels are pre-booked, an evening meal allowance of up to £16, and mobile phone bills are paid up to £50 a month.
