Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Are you on the lookout for a new opportunity as a SEND Learning Support Assistant based in the Rainham area? We are looking for an experienced special needs Learning Support Assistant for various primary schools in Rainham. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and experienced working with a variety of SEN needs.
This role requires someone who can provide a happy environment for all, helping children achieve their best and thrive in a creative setting.
Job Duties:
* Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting.
* Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans tailored to students' needs.
* Use effective approaches: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, helping them understand instructions and tasks.
* Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour when necessary, using positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques.
* Nurture positive relationships: Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' education, while maintaining detailed records of the child's progress.
* Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment to help the child integrate into school life more easily.

Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK.
* Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
* Prior experience working with students with special educational needs.
* Understanding of different learning styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods as needed.
* Patience and empathy when working with students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the option to make this role permanent available at a later date.
