Job Summary: As a Healthcare Assistant in domiciliary care, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to individuals in their homes. Your role will involve assisting clients with daily activities, promoting their independence and well-being, and ensuring they receive high-quality care in accordance with their care plans. Key Responsibilities: 1. Personal Care: Assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bating, grooming, and toileting. 2. Mobility Assistance: Supporting clients with mobility needs, including trans-ferring and positioning safely. 3 Medication Support: Assisting clients with medication administration as per prescribed schedules and under supervision. 4. Meal Preparation : Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding if it is required. 5. Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. 6. Companionship: Providing companionship and emotional support to clients ,engaging in conversation and recreational activities. 7. Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in clients' health or behavior to the Registered Manager or healthcare professionals. 8. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the care provided and any observations made. 9. Client Safety: Ensuring client safety at all times, following health and safety guidelines and infection control protocols. 10. Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care and support for clients. Qualifications and Skills: - Previous experience in healthcare or domiciliary care is desirable but not essential. - Compassionate and caring nature with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. - Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. - Willingness to undergo relevant training and development as required. Working Conditions: - Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and possibly nights. - Travel between clients' homes within a designated area. - Adherence to health and safety guidelines and infection control measures.
